The Challenge
A German company required the development of a point-of-care testing device, including building manual, semi-automatic,and fully automatic assembly of housing, PCB, display, andkeypad. These had to meet stringent IVDR requirementsthroughout the project, from concept to industrialization.

Combining our CDMO know-how with years of experience in high-precisionmolding and in the scaling up of production using fully automatic assembly lines.
The complexity and needs of such a project required a first production lots fortesting and initial launch being produced using benchtop equipment,subsequently moving to semi-automatic lines and finally to fully automaticassembly lines.
DFA (Design for Assembly) played a crucial role from the beginning, whilelearnings from the manual assembly were equally important as input for theautomation.
Volume assembly lines included functionality testing of the device and finalassembly (wet assembly) and packaging steps.
